World Economic Forum 2024

The 2024 theme for the forum is 'Rebuilding Trust', with an emphasis on the fundamental principles that drive trust. This includes a focus on whether 2024 will be a year of 'permacrisis' or a time for resolution and recovery. Among the topics to be discussed are climate change, global security, and particularly the advancement and implications of Artificial Intelligence and technological safety. The forum will also explore how to effectively utilize AI for global societal benefits, with a focus on its applications in various fields such as medicine and cybersecurity .

Additionally, the event is taking place at a time described as a 'polycrisis', referring to multiple simultaneous crises such as climate and biodiversity crises, the COVID-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and concerns over cost-of-living. The forum aims to provide a platform for constructive dialogues and finding solutions through public-private cooperation .
