Organised by the Instituto Livre Mercado, the meeting brought together members of CVM's Tokenisation Working Group (GTT), technical superintendencies, and capital market participants to examine regulatory approaches for digital assets.

Opening proceedings featured CVM Director João Accioly, Instituto Livre Mercado Director Rodrigo Saraiva, and Binance Director Tiago Sarandy. Following the opening remarks, the Tokenisation Working Group presented an update on its ongoing work under the coordination of CVM Superintendent José Alexandre Vasco.

Market Infrastructure and Distributed Ledger Implementation

The event featured four panels covering tokenisation pathways, market infrastructure, exchange competition, and distributed ledger technology adoption in capital markets.

Discussions covered the tokenisation of shares and real assets, alongside the application of distributed networks across registration, deposit, custody, and settlement procedures.

CVM highlighted its objective to establish an efficient and proportionate regulatory framework that safeguards investors while promoting market competition and technological innovation.
