Brazil's CVM Launches New Citizen Service System for Capital Market Supervision

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil (CVM) launched its new Citizen Service System (SAC-CVM) on 14 September 2026. The platform updates how investor queries, complaints, and regulatory submissions are handled across the market.

Portal Transition and Processing Rules

Starting from the launch date, all new requests, including queries, complaints, and reports, must be submitted exclusively through the new SAC-CVM portal.

Existing demands that were already in progress prior to the launch will continue to be processed and concluded within the previous system.

Role of SAC-CVM in Market Oversight

SAC-CVM operates as the official channel for investors to clarify capital market doubts, register complaints regarding services provided by market agents, and report irregular product or service offers.

Submissions received through the portal, including complaints, reports, and suggestions, feed key information directly into the regulatory and supervisory activities of the CVM.

Channels for Regulated Participants and Administrative Files

Market participants are required to use a separate dedicated supervision channel, Atendimento a Regulados, rather than the general citizen portal.

For requests involving copies and inspections of administrative processes, users must submit demands through the CVM Digital Protocol.
