The European Banking Authority published an official Opinion on 27 August 2026 in response to observations set out in the European Parliament’s 2024 Discharge Report. Welcoming the general assessment, the regulatory body confirmed that nine observations directly referenced its operations, with none requiring specific follow-up actions.
Assessment of Parliamentary Feedback
findings in the 2024 Discharge Report cover all European Union agencies, reviewing operational and governance performance. The banking regulator highlighted that the parliamentary review provided positive overall feedback.
Of the total observations included in the discharge publication, nine remarks specifically cited the European Banking Authority. Following evaluation, the authority determined that none of these observations warranted dedicated follow-up measures or structural changes.
Legal Framework for the Response
