EFRAG Announces New Board Appointments and Leadership Mandate Extensions

The General Assembly of EFRAG has confirmed three new appointments across its administrative, sustainability, and financial reporting governance bodies following its meeting on 10 September. Additionally, the organisation's Administrative Board has extended the terms of leadership for its technical expert groups in both sustainability and financial reporting.

New Governance Body Appointments

Following the General Assembly meeting on 10 September, EFRAG announced three individual appointments to its key governance structures.

Gianmario Crescentino joins the EFRAG Administrative Board after nomination by Italian standard setter OIC, succeeding Michele Pizzo. Chrystelle Richard has been appointed to the EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Board following nomination by French standard setter ANC, replacing Laurence Rivat. Elbano de Nuccio joins the EFRAG Financial Reporting Board, nominated by the OIC to replace Simone Scettri.

EFRAG expressed appreciation to departing members Michele Pizzo, Laurence Rivat, and Simone Scettri for their contributions and commitment during their respective terms.

Mandate Extensions for Technical Leadership

In addition to new appointments, the EFRAG Administrative Board confirmed extensions for key leadership roles within its technical expert groups.

Chiara Del Prete, Chair of the EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Technical Expert Group, has had her term extended until 31 January 2028. This decision follows a separate administrative decision in June that extended the mandate of Sébastien Harushimana, Chair of the EFRAG Financial Reporting Technical Expert Group, through 31 August 2029.
