SEC Schedules Public Roundtable on Machine-Understandable Data and Super Intelligence

The US Securities and Exchange Commission will hold a public roundtable on 9 November 2026 to examine how market participants and the investing public use machine-understandable data alongside Super Intelligence technology.

Scope and Objectives of the SEC Roundtable

The US regulator announced the event on 19 October 2026, setting the public session for 9 November 2026 at its Washington, D.C. headquarters. The discussions will cover the deployment of machine-readable information and Super Intelligence (SI), alongside the operational costs and market risks linked to these systems.

Joshua White, Chief Economist and Director of the SEC's Division of Economic and Risk Analysis, emphasised that high-quality information remains essential in the age of Super Intelligence. According to White, feedback gathered from market participants will help SEC staff evaluate how investors use structured data for advanced solutions and inform future efforts to facilitate technology adoption.

Event Access and Attendance Details

The roundtable is scheduled to run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. EST at 100 F Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. In-person capacity may be limited, and attending visitors will undergo security checks.

To ensure broader access, the SEC will broadcast the proceedings live on SEC.gov, with an archived recording made available after the event concludes.
