EFRAG has launched a Call for Tenders to design and implement a digital Education and Certification Platform to be integrated into the EFRAG ESRS Knowledge Hub. Platform Scope and Functional Requirements
The procurement process covers the design, configuration and implementation of a digital learning infrastructure. The goal of the system is to help stakeholders develop and demonstrate competencies in sustainability reporting under Revised ESRS, the Voluntary Standard (VS) and other connected reporting structures.
The planned platform will accommodate EFRAG educational programmes through self-paced, instructor-led and hybrid learning models. It will also feature multimedia content delivery, progress tracking, learning analytics, multilingual capability and accessibility controls, while integrating into the existing EFRAG Knowledge Hub.
Certification Capabilities and Vendor Independence
EFRAG has invited tenderers to submit a separately priced proposal for capabilities supporting a potential professional certification scheme. This component encompasses assessment tools, examination administration and certification management. EFRAG will maintain direct oversight and approval rights over the educational and certification framework.
The selected contractor will supply the core technological platform, learner administration capabilities, operational support, maintenance, and integration services. EFRAG requires that the architecture allow the organisation to operate, maintain and develop the solution independently or through an alternative provider without reliance on the contractor.
Submission Deadlines and Implementation Timeline
Tenders must be submitted electronically to EFRAG by close of business on 9 November 2026. Prospective tenderers seeking clarification must submit questions at least 10 days before the submission deadline.
Project work is slated to commence in January 2027. Full delivery of the operational Education and Certification Platform is targeted for mid-June 2027, followed by knowledge transfer, administrator training and final system acceptance.
